Where have all the flowers gone?

For years the environmentalists have decried the loss of tens of thousands of plant species. Good news! Botanist can now explain why they are gone: CO2 is not the reason; the scientists are the reason.

In an article today in the U.K’s Guardian, http://www.guardian.co.uk/science/2010/sep/19/scientists-prune-world-plant-list, botanists have started weeding out duplicate names for plants: 600,000 duplicate names in fact.

Finally, environmental news that is not, “worse than we thought.”
