Day of infamy

Years slip by in blissful innocence, for years have no memory. People do. Americans do. September 11, 2001, is a memory that will linger in the minds of every American who watched it unfold on television. It became a modern “day of infamy.”

For some, years blur the memory and horror fades. For others, the memories stay brutally fresh. It is enough that the date and the event be remembered. On this, its anniversary, let us take a moment of silence; a moment to remember; a moment to pray.
