Introspection

The future is not Big Government. Self-serving politicians. Powerful bureaucrats. This has been tried, tested throughout history. The result has always been disaster. President Obama, your agenda is not new. It’s not change, and it’s not hope.
Rush Limbaugh

I am arriving at a very difficult time in my life. It has become a time for a deep introspection. I have always considered myself a patriotic individual. I love my country. So how is it have I come to the point I am almost wishing something bad would happen to open the eyes of those so deeply enmeshed in the global warming and Obama dogmas.

Oh, I know I am not the only one thinking about bad things that might happen. The blogs are full of items where the global warmists are hoping for a category five hurricane, or some other unnamable weather catastrophe, to strike a populated area and cause massive casualties, just so they can say, “I told you so. This is because of global warming.”

Now I find myself reading articles by actual climate scientists, not the global warming nuts, about an upcoming thirty-year phase of global cooling, which may well be the precursor to another ice age. Then I read about the unemployment figures going up, the myriad problems with the health-care bill and the dismal failure of the stimulus package, and find myself almost rejoicing. It is not that I want something bad to happen to my country, I just want people to wake up. I want them to think, to use a little logic, before irreparable damage is done to the country and the Constitution by this administration.

It is very difficult to keep an optimistic attitude while the structure of my country is crumbling. The election is only a couple of months away, and God willing, this reign by Socialist will be pulled up by its Astroturf roots. Still, a lot of damage can be done in two months.
